Walker College Professor of Economics Todd Cherry will present his behavioral and experimental research on climate change policy on at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence Italy on May 10. The event is aimed at an attempt to support a new climate policy initiative at the Florence School of Regulation at EUI.
The European University Institute (EUI) is an international center for doctorate and post-doctorate studies and research. Since its establishment 40 years ago by the six founding members of the then European Communities, the EUI has earned a reputation as a leading international academic institution with a European focus.
The Florence School of Regulation Climate (FSR Climate) is a research group within the European University Institute (EUI)’s Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (RSCAS). Established in 2010, FSR Climate aims to provide a reliable source for information, analysis and evaluation of EU climate
policies ex-post and a forum for discussion of research carried out in this area.
Dr. Cherry is a Professor of Economics and the Director of the Center for Economic Research & Policy Analysis at Appalachian State University. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for International Climate and Environmental Research – Oslo at the University of Oslo in Norway. His research focuses on policy issues found at the intersection of energy, environment and economics.
